We have arrived!

A 24 hour journey with lots of firsts. Meeting some of the team at Gatwick. My first trip on an Airbus A380 double decker (David put the number in) and experiencing Dubai and then another 5 hours to Entebbe. The chaos of getting visas and finding our bags and then the sanctory of our hotel and a beer.

More updates later.

1 day to go !

Wow i can’t believe how fast the last few weeks have flown by and we are now in the final stages of prep for our big trip tomorrow πŸ‘

Just to reflect on behalf of all of us we wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated to our just giving page. It means a lot to us and will go directly to help.

So what’s happened? We have had so many injections I have lost count. Bought copious quantities of Deet and other insect repellent devices. We now have all of the slides ready for the workshop (thanks to the rest of the team – specifically Adrian) with 71 people already signed up for the training. And … Barbara-Anne and I have had to go shopping for… long dresses as that’s a must have dress code for the camp – which has been our biggest challenge yet ☺️

Our what’s App group is alive and buzzing with news of seat numbers and journey plans. And … finally I have taken my first Malaria tablet.

So lots happening.

Anne, David and Barbara-Anne

A great night yesterday with many good friends from my time at Bacs. Now turning my full attention to planning for our expedition to Uganda πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬.
